Mr Ademoye Shobo is a seasoned insurance professional and Lagos State University (LASU) alumnus whose career reflects deep institutional knowledge, technical expertise, and steady progression within Nigeria’s insurance industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from LASU in 1988, before building a professional path rooted in discipline and long-term organisational growth.
He began his career at LASACO Assurance Plc in 1993 as an Officer in the Audit Department, where he ensured compliance across departments and branches. He later transitioned into the Technical Division, gaining hands-on experience in claims administration and underwriting, before moving into marketing and branch operations where he managed Kano Branch and later oversaw the FCT and Northern Region as Regional Controller.
His leadership trajectory continued with his appointment as Assistant General Manager at Head Office, where he supervised the Marketing Division. In 2013, he was promoted to Deputy General Manager, taking responsibility for the Technical Division, before rising to General Manager (Marketing), coordinating marketing operations across the Northern Region.
A committed professional, Mr Shobo is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) and has participated in numerous local and international executive development programmes, strengthening his expertise in underwriting, risk management, and enterprise operations.In 2026, he was appointed Managing Director/CEO of LASACO Assurance Plc, a role that embodies continuity, institutional trust, and leadership grounded in deep internal experience. His upward trajectory stands as a model of professional dedication, steady growth, and excellence within Nigeria’s financial services sector.
